Set in the grounds of a charming 14th century manor and a beautiful 11th century church, The St Pierre is renowned as one of the UK’s finest golf courses. Amongst it’s many facilities it also offers:
- 13 bay floodlit driving range with additional outside bays
- Ideal for those looking to waste their good shots before hitting the course
- Putting green and practice shortgame area,
- Perfect for taking more money off Rob and Nick if you have a bad round on the course
- Club, shoe and buggy hire
- Just in case
Following a £1.8 million facelift, spent in part to encourage tournaments such as the Shaun Ryder Cup to put St Pierre on the roster, every element of the hotel has been restored to perfection. A former host to the Curtis, the British Masters and the Solheim Cup, both courses have recently been given a £2 million upgrade by Ross McMurray of European Golf Design.

The Old Course is built around an 11-acre lake and studded with many ancient trees, including a giant 400 year-old chestnut that dominates the 2nd hole (i’m sure some of our members will be become well acquainted with it). The finish is renowned on the tour with a thrilling 235-yard par-3 18th including a shot over water to an elevated green protected by sand (not sure anyone will be picking up nearest the pin on that bad boy).

After performing the magic on the golf course players are expected to regale the group of the days stories in the oak-panelled, traditional Morgans Restaurant or the contemporary Zest Bar. The hotel also offers a fitness club and tennis courts (for Nick to demonstrate his skill set soon to be seen on the womens tour).
Just in case you need more motivation for the big event, don’t forget the big prize! The opportunity to have the sought after Shaun Ryder Cup sat on your mantlepiece until the 2018 Edition (if Slater can find it).
